Savory Steak Pasta (Print-Friendly Version)

A decadent pasta creation with juicy sirloin steak and linguine bathed in a buttery garlic sauce with Parmesan and subtle heat - fancy enough for company but simple enough for busy evenings.

# What You Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 12 oz linguine pasta
02 - 1 lb sirloin steak cut
03 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter
04 - 3 cloves garlic, chopped fine

→ For the Sauce

05 - 1/2 cup heavy cream
06 - 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan

→ Seasonings

07 - 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
08 - 1/2 tsp sea salt
09 - 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes

# How to Make It:

01 - Cook linguine in water with salt until al dente following pack directions. Drain in colander and set to the side.
02 - Melt 1 tbsp butter in a hot skillet over medium-high flame. Sprinkle steak with salt and pepper, then cook about 3-4 mins each side for medium-rare doneness. Take beef out, let it sit a bit, then cut into thin slices.
03 - Using the same pan, drop in the other tbsp of butter. Throw in your chopped garlic and cook for about a minute till you can smell it nicely.
04 - Pour in heavy cream, add Parmesan, sprinkle black pepper and red pepper flakes into the pan. Mix everything together and let it bubble gently for 2-3 mins until it gets a bit thicker.
05 - Dump the drained linguine into your sauce pan and flip around to get sauce all over the pasta.
06 - Put pasta on plates and lay sliced steak on top. Eat right away while it's hot.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Sprinkle some fresh chopped parsley or basil on top for an extra kick of flavor.
02 - Swap linguine with fettuccine or spaghetti if that's what you've got handy.
03 - You can tone down or pump up the red pepper flakes depending on how spicy you like your food.
04 - Add a splash of white wine to your sauce for deeper flavor notes.
